How would you describe your teaching style?

- Joseph Pilates was a genius and I take the responsibility of carrying on his work very seriously! I want to make sure all of my students FEEL the benefits of his work every time they leave a class/session. I teach each body in front of me with positivity and a good understanding of  their personal goals, while always keeping in mind that Pilates is a workout and should be fun!

Why do you love Pilates?

- Everything is better with Pilates.  It is challenging and gentle at the same time and gives me an increased awareness of what I’m capable of doing!  It forces me to be in the moment and I leave every workout feeling empowered and ready to tackle my day.  My body and mind are better for it!

- Pilates is the first work out (and I’ve tried them all) that I haven’t dreaded beforehand.  I always have fun when I’m working out and always look forward to sharing what I know with others (just ask my friends and family)!

- My teaching style synthesizes play with hard work.  I think we all need more fun and healthy play in our lives.  I like to encourage clients to challenge themselves and discover through movement just how empowering Pilates can make them feel. 

Why do you love Pilates?

- I love the Pilates journey.  It starts with the understanding of core-infused movements through precise execution.  You soon discover a lean, long, strong boyd and the execution sharpens!  I continue to enjoy overall body wellness, and a balance and energized body that combines the beauty of the movement with the strength of controlled balance.  Pilates is a beautiful play of silent poetry.

- I want everybody who walks in the door to feel supported and welcome.  My teaching style is light but conscious.  I wish to support people in their quest to realize their greatest potential while working out and having fun!  I hope to align the body and the mind, while empowering people through movement!

- Pilates is a life enhancing exercise– its not just what is done in your one hour workout but the other 23 hours of your day.  Joseph Pilates said it best– “Contrology is designed to give you suppleness, natural grace and skill that will be unmistakably reflected in the way you walk, play and work.” The work is never over!

- I love taking the classic order and adding a little twist to make every class slightly different. I also like to offer modifications and variations so people of all levels and familiarity with Pilates can enjoy and challenge themselves.

Why do you love Pilates?

- Everything is easier when you’re in control of your core!  I also love that there is an ongoing effort to perfect each exercise.  Taking class is always fun because there is always something to engage a little more or lengthen a little longer.  Pilates is a great way to get our of your head, and into your body!
